After studying visual communication at ESAG Penninghen (l'école de la direction artistique et de l'architecture intérieure) in Paris, Piet moved to London then Hong Kong in 2007. SUR UN VOLCAN was born in 2013 when he decided he had to let go of the dream of being the world's best graphic designer. Over the years, he assumed many roles, including graphic designer, photographer and videographer. But design was his destiny and he returned to the fold, this time creating jewels.
